Tom MacLeod
President, Sterling Crane Canada
Tom joined Sterling Crane Canada as President in September 2020 bringing 15 years of Executive Leadership experience to the Organization. Tom has held Senior positions with both Canadian and International companies during his career, with a strong focus on midstream and downstream Oil and Gas. Prior to joining Sterling Crane, Tom held the position of Vice President, Business Development for Mammoet Canada Western Ltd.
As President, Tom is driven to grow the Company profitably, foster an open and inclusive working environment, continuously improve the organization’s Health and Safety culture, and to make Sterling Crane the Employer of Choice in the crane rental industry.
Tom holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Western University in London, Ontario.
Mark Pisani
Vice President, Operations
Mark joined Sterling Crane Canada as Vice President, Operations in January 2022. Mark brings over 30 years of operational experience and has held leadership roles in the manufacturing, construction and crane industry. Throughout his career, Mark’s passion is the people he works with, and he has focused his career on creating teams that generate success through safety, operational efficiency, and exceeding customer expectations.
As Vice President, Operations Mark is committed to upholding the highest standards in safety and operational execution, while providing best in class service for our clients and ensuring Sterling Crane is a leader in the crane market.
Mike DeRocco
Vice President, Marketing, Sales, and Business Development
Mike leads the company’s Marketing, Business Development and Sales functions. Which includes identifying and executing strategic initiatives, including market expansion, partnership evaluation, B2B marketing, commercial services and economic analysis across numerous market sectors in Canada. As a strategic leader with a breadth of construction industry knowledge and entrepreneurial mindset, Mike strives to stay ahead of industry demands while continuously driving customer value.
As part of the senior leadership team, Mike is committed to building relationships with national clients, communities and all partners, while promoting a safety-first culture and operational excellence. Mike has an undergraduate degree from the University of Alberta and an Executive Master of Business Administration from the Smith School of Business at Queens University.
Travis Horcoff
Corporate Controller
Travis joined Sterling Crane Canada as Corporate Controller in August 2023. Travis brings over 10 years of accounting and finance experience from the Disaster Restoration and Hospitality industries as well as public practice assurance experience.
As part of the senior leadership team, Travis is responsible for corporate finance and overseeing the accounting and finance department. Travis is committed to driving Sterling Crane Canada toward its strategic and operational goals through sound financial decision making and corporate governance.
Travis holds his CPA, CA designation and earned his Bachelor of Commerce degree with Distinction from the University of Alberta.
Leanne Laidler
Director, Human Resources
Leanne joined Sterling Crane Canada as Director, Human Resources in July of 2024. Leanne brings over 25 years of human resources experience and has held leadership roles in mining, construction and the food industry. Most of Leanne’s career has focused on partnering with the business, building HR credibility and providing positive employee experiences through learning and growth opportunities and succession planning.
As Director, Human Resources, Leanne is committed to driving continuous improvement within the employee life cycle and assisting Sterling Crane Canada in becoming an employer of choice.
